SIS Hosts Interpreting Simulation Conference, Faculty and Graduate Students Team Up to Advance Professional Training

On the afternoon of August 20, 2025, the School of International Studies held an interpreting simulation conference titled "Frontiers of Antitrust Law: A Special Seminar" in Room 1412 of Chengxin Building. Organized and moderated by Dr. Zhou Lixia, Associate Professor of the School and Senior Research Fellow of the Competition Law Center, the simulation engaged 12 graduate students from the Master of Interpreting and Translation (MIT) program. They practiced simultaneous interpreting in a unique "six-team simultaneous interpretation with intra-team rotation" format. Following the event, Professor Zhou provided precise, practice-oriented feedback from a professional interpreter’s perspective, drawing on her extensive experience in international conferences.
