Practice Makes Perfect, Journey in Translation: SIS Hosts Interpreting Simulation Lecture on International Agri-SciTech Cooperation
On March 15, 2025, the School of International Studies (SIS) invited Professor Li Huishang from the Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to deliver a hybrid lecture titled "China's Agricultural Development and Strategies for International Agri-SciTech Cooperation in the New Era." The event was held in Room 312 of the Zhixing Building and online via Tencent Meeting.
Under the theme of connecting industry needs with real-world scenarios, 24 students participated in a simultaneous interpreting simulation exercise designed to enhance their practical interpreting skills. The session was chaired by Wang Chun, Director of the SIS Department of Translation and Interpreting, with faculty members Wang Xinhong and Ren Yuetao providing on-site guidance and feedback on the students' simultaneous and consecutive interpreting performance.
